Before everything else, getting ready is the secret of success. ~ Henry Ford
Before you go to a yoga class, you have to be ready with the necessary tools and equipment that you might need.
1. Yoga Mat – Manduka Eko SuperLite Travel Mat
I just bought a new mat from Certified Calm, Shangri-la Mall this weekend. I had to buy a new one since my current mat is heavy. I have no problems with my current mat in terms of its durability, and even on how it helps me during my yoga class, but I just had to look for a lighter one. Normally, I come from the office so I need a mat that I can tuck into my bag. This Manduka Eko SuperLite Travel Mat is made from recycled material. I love the texture of the material used since it doesn’t make me slip. The Manduka Eko SuperLite Travel Mat claims to be non-allergenic and non-latex. Although the cover says it is made from “sustainable natural tree rubber”; hence, it is made of rubber latex, which is very bad for people with allergies to it (thanks, Nikki, one of my readers for making us aware of this). It also prevents the absorption of sweat and microbes since it incorporates closed-cell foam construction.

2. Yogitoes Skidless Towel
When I practice, I often get conscious of the fact that I sweat a lot. I hate it when my perspiration drops unto the mat and I slip or I can’t balance right. Plus, the thought of sweat (even if it is my own sweat) on my mat is quite unhygienic. What I suggest, if you have the same problem as me, you can use Yogitoes Skidless Towels. You can check out their page for the different designs: Yogitoes Skidless Towels If you want to buy one, you can email me at ginger(at)manilafitness.com. I have some of the designs from the Chakra, Deity, Earth and element collection. These towels are at Php 2,150 per towel.
3. Yoga Bag – Yogitoes rUniverse
It’s so hard to look for a bag for yoga. I’m not sure if I’m just too picky with the bag that I have to use. Since I mentioned that I normally come from the office, I want it to be as compact as possible. I don’t want to carry a lot of stuff to the office and to my yoga class.

I found a great bag. It is called the Yogitoes rUnivers bag (Certified Calm). Would you believe that this tote bag is made from 100% post-consumer polyester fiber made completely of recycled plastic bottles? Quite cool right? I love its unique design. It has adjustable straps that can be used to strap the yoga mat under the bag.
This bag can also be found in Certified Calm.

Hi! I just want to point out that you wrote “The Manduka Eko SuperLite Travel Mat is non-allergenic and non-latex.”
However, the label outside the mat itself states “sustainable natural tree rubber”; hence it is made of rubber latex, which is very bad for people with allergies to it…
I was brought to this page after searching for “non-latex yoga mat”. Pls correct your mistake so that fewer people will make the mistake of buying this latex yoga mat.
Thanks, Nikki, for this! I edited the article already. thanks so much!
