Yesterday, my pregnant friends and I were discussing about nipple creams. I have heard people advising me to start using nipple cream already. They say that women should start using nipple cream on their 8th month of pregnancy. This is to keep the nipple smooth moisturized, before you go into breastfeeding.
I have heeded this advise and started using this Motherlove nipple cream from Hatchandlatch.com. I have the 1 oz. container at Php 550. What I like about this brand is taht it is made up of all natural ingredients. The ingredients are also safe for ingestion, so it does not need to be washed off prior to breastfeeding baby. The Motherlove’s nipple cream has zero toxins (zero rated on EWG’s skin deep database). I have started using it and I have definitely seen improvements already.
Another brand that I have heard to be good is the Purelan cream from Medela. Just like Motherlove, it is made from natural ingredients and is hypoallergenic. It also does a good job relieving dryness.
Have you started using nipple creams? When did you start using it?
