Convenience is my number one consideration in looking for physical or fitness activities, diets, or even treatments that I want to do. I want it to be convenient to go to the fitness center, to the gym or to the yoga studio. I want a diet that can easily be prepared. I want the slimming salon or a nail salon or even a relaxing massage to be done after I engage in fitness activities. I want it to be convenient enough to go to so that I would keep at it and eventually, form a habit.
There is this place at the 22nd floor of Strata 100 where you will be able to get everything you wished for in keeping yourself fit and beautiful. This is where you will find Wellness Alliance. Wellness Alliance is composed of the following brands: 360 Fitness Club, Polecats Manila, Yoga +, Dermastrasse The Skin and Slimming Center, Yellow Halo, and Spaholics.
When I visited, it was actually a day before their official launch. They launched Wellness Alliance last Saturday. It was a pity I couldn’t go, but I made it a point to go the day before. It was something that I was really interested in seeing.
The elevator opened and it was like a door opening to heaven. For any fitness enthusiast, like me, the Wellness Alliance floor was like a newly built playground! I went touring the place starting with 360 Fitness Club. I hope you all read my blog entry before on the place, but I plan to try this again and actually document the results of my workout. For those who haven’t read my 360 Fitness Club article (my visit to 360 Fitness Club when they were still on the 11th Floor), here it is: http://manilafitness.com/2011/04/01/360-fitness-club.html
The place is bigger now. They even have a bigger floor area for group classes and trx classes. I’m excited to try out all these facilities. What I like about 360 Fitness Club is that you get to do a lot of things and the physical activities that you do is very diverse. It constantly engages, challenges and inspires you to do your more and to do better. Each complete workout will only take your 30 minutes.
As the country’s first co-ed express fitness facility, 360 Fitness Club proves to be more than just your traditional gym. Their exercise philosophy revolves on providing people with fitness opportunities that are non-traditional, efficient and most importantly, effective. With the use of free weights, kettle bells, cables, exercise balls and many other exercise accessories, the club developed the 360 Circuit, which consists of 20 exercise stations that combine cardiovascular and strengthening exercises – a total body workout that will make members, tone, shape up and burn an average of 500 calories in a total of just 30 minutes each day.
My next stop was Spaholics Nail and Blowdry Bar. The place was very cozy and the design was very modern. The design of its interiors was very conducive for spa parties and bondings with the girls. It was also perfect for anyone who wants to have their hair styled. There were also massage rooms that you can use when availing of a massage.
I also visited Yoga +. Yoga+ opened its first branch in Global City and was the first yoga studio in the area. Their classes can now be enjoyed by people in Ortigas. Classes being offered are Hot Yoga (Hot A with 50 postures and Hot B with 26
postures), Vinyasa, Hot Vinyasa and Ashtanga classes. Hot yoga classes and Ashtanga are done in a series. This means that the postures are the same every time you practice. On the other hand, flow classes are breath-based and rhythmic
and the postures vary from one class to the next.

At yoga+, a student can join any of the classes, since these classes are designed for all levels and the instructor gives options for some postures so that the more advanced students can have a more challenging practice. The yoga+ studios are state-of-the-art, using special yoga flooring to provide traction and prevent injuries as well as heaters that provide a gentle, soothing heat that heal injuries, prevent wrinkles and kill bacteria. Manduka mats, used by
serious yoga practitioners, are provided for free.
Unfortunately, when I came, Dermastrasse The Skin and Slimming Center, Yellow Halo and Polecats were still preparing for the launch and were still closed. I plan to visit again soon anyway.
Do drop by Wellness Alliance. The nice thing about it is that it is a one-stop-shop for fitness, health and beauty. Each brand complements the other. They even share some facilities. They have male and female locker rooms, which can be share by all the brands in the floor. Again, the address is at 22nd Floor Strata 100 Building, F. Ortigas Jr Ave, Ortigas Center.
