360 Fitness Club

Being a “fitness and health” blogger means constantly trying out new things, new gyms and even new diet fads. Yesterday, even if at the point of having flu, I had to try 360 Fitness Club. I promised my friends that I’d bring them. I didn’t want to break my promise, plus, I was also very excited to try out circuit training at 360 Fitness Club.

We left the office at 5:30 pm as we were all excited and anxious to leave. We just walked to 360 Fitness Club as it was just near the office. The fitness club is located at the 13th Floor, Strata 100 Bldg., F. Ortigas Jr. Road, (formerly Emerald Ave.), Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City. It was just about 5 minutes away from where we work.

When we got to the place, for first time enrollees, you will be asked a series of questions and they will ask you to sign a waiver form. Normally, they give customers a onetime free trial, which is very good since people have to know if a certain workout is apt for them before they would actually enroll. We then surrendered and ID in exchange for a lock with two keys. This lock will be used for the lockers that they have. Inside the female locker room, there were two toilets, three showers and lockers. The locker room was small, so don’t expect a spacious place for changing.

After changing, we all went to the trainers on the circuit area floor. It was still a bit early so not too many people were there. The two trainers (since we were four) asked us questions like do we go to the gym and what physical activities do we do. They also asked us if we have eaten and what time was our last meal. After that, they divided the four of us into level 1 and level 2 training. My friend, Pia and I, got to do level 2. She started first on the first block and that was to do skip rope. Each of the block had a certain exercise that you have to do before moving on to the next area. The music will have a cue on when to move on to the next exercise.

The circuit was composed of 20 areas, each with a different activity to be done. We did the whole circuit three times. It was actually fun! I think the exercises were just right for me — not too strenuous but it will really make you sweat.

The trainers were guiding us through the entire routine, correcting us by telling us how our form should be and sometimes, even cheering us on!

After the circuit training, we joined the hip-hop class of Ken. The studio was big enough for ten people. When we attended, there were only 8 of us. I stayed for the entire class. It was a good cool down for the circuit training that we did.

I had a great time. I’m thinking of getting the 10 classes for 1 month. This package is at Php 2990 (Php 299 per class).
