When I was still competing in aerobics marathons and running marathons in my late teens, I used to take Gatorade. With the active lifestyle that I had, I needed a sports drink that would replenish potassium and sodium in my body. I needed to be hydrated always, and I needed to be hydrated fast.
But as years passed, my physical activity diminished. I let go of training and competing. I was stuck with a 9-5 job that left me tired after work. I hardly work out after office. All I could do before was to have a short walk on the treadmill of around 30 minutes. The problem was I always forgot to drink liquids. I forget to drink even water. And now that I’m pregnant, I need to stay hydrated, too, for me and the baby. I was so relieved to hear the Gatorade came out with a new Low Carb variant.
Gatorade Low Carb has 67% less carbs. I always love food and drinks with lesser carbs, since I know that I would only be packing on the pounds with all that sugar. I’m not that active anymore and my metabolism isn’t that speedy, too, so what I do is I watch what I take in.
Gatorade Low Carb is a low calorie drink that provides me with the energy that I need to go get through the day. It is available in Grape or Lemon Lime flavor. My husband and I love the grape flavor. It is only at 10 calories with 2 grams of sugar. Sodium is at 45 mg and Potassium at 15 mg. It has Vitamins B5, B3 and B6.
I think Gatorade is a great drink for those who want to keep hydrated during the day.
